Mindanao has many interesting people, attractions, and traditions that have captivated the hearts of the locals and its visitors. Over the course of many years, the big island has kept up with the times and is very much connected to the world through the internet.
The internet has changed the face of Mindanao and has made more people aware of the culture and history of the island. One of the most effective media in promoting Mindanao is blogging.
This year, the bloggers of Mindanao will hold its third blogging summit that allows bloggers from and of Mindanao to convene and uphold the common goal to celebrate and promote Mindanao.
The Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3 has the theme “Mindanao Bag-ohon ang Panan-aw”, which aims to promote the beauty and strength of Mindanao and eradicate the negative perceptions and notions that people from different parts of the world have about the island.
The MBS 3 will be held on October 24, 2009, from 8am to 5pm, at the Pearlmont Inn, Limketkai Drive, Cagayan de Oro City.

At 7 o’clock in the evening, the Mindanao leg for the Philippine Blog Awards will take place in the same venue.
On the following day, summit participants have the choice of joining either the city tour and explore the Xavier University Museum, San Agustin Metropolitan Cathedral, Divine Mercy Shrine, Opol Aviary, and Limketkai Mall; or have a wild time and join the white water rafting adventure.
